i'll miss this one day
This boy cracks me up. Today when I saw him on his bike, dressed like this, I RAN for the camera. He wears this all the time, especially when we go to public places and I forget he's wearing it and I hear people snickering and whispering and think they're laughing at ME! Kolby asks me several times a day if he can grow up to be Batman. What do you say to that? I usually say yes because I think it's cute (and because I'm just plain tired of the question,) and inevitably one of his brothers is there to say, "NO HE CAN'T! BATMAN'S NOT REAL!" And then we have to have a deep discussion about the reality of superheros. Sigh. I know, I know, I'll miss this some day.

You definitely will miss it. Enjoy every moment and laugh with whoever is laughing at them. These moments are gone so quickly. We had a boy in our ward who was obsessed with Batman all the way until he was 14. He even wore a batman tie to pass the sacrament. Too cute. Speaking of fantasy...when my Dawson was this age he was determined that he would serve a mission for our church in Jurassic Park. It is still one of my all-time fave quotes. Like I said, enjoy every moment!
What a great picture. I love the cape. Stunt Man would love that cape and mask. I will miss it too when he is out of the super hero phase. means they are growing up.:(
Love the cape, I wish I had one. I could have used some extra super powers today.
It's okay Kim-- Brandon still thinks he is going to grow up to be Batman.... Actually I think he thinks HE IS Batman... and yes he is 28, married and has three kids!
